Editor's Message

From the President

Esteemed Readers,

This precious magazine you hold in your hands is not just a publication; it is a manifestation of a great intellectual effort and scientific endeavor dedicated to the development of Arabic research in Turkey. Every issue of our journal is a product of the desire to present the intricacies of the ancient Arabic language, its rich historical heritage and its research blended with contemporary approaches to our valued readers.

Arabic is more than just a means of communication; it is the carrier of civilizations, the key to the tradition of science and the basis of cultural interaction. As Turkey, we believe in the responsibility of being familiar with the depth of this language, taking care of our scientific heritage and transferring this knowledge to future generations. This magazine has come to life as a concrete result of this belief.

With this publication, we, as the Board of Trustees, aim to build a science platform where academicians, researchers and students working in the fields of Arabic language, literature, education, eloquence, culture, art, philosophy, literary history and Arabic translation come together, exchange ideas and set new horizons. This journal, which we hope to be a strong reference source in the national and international academic community, also claims to be a bridge that will contribute to Turkish-Arab cultural relations.

I would like to thank all the academicians, writers and editorial staff who contributed; I wish our readers a science journey full of benefit.

Best Regards.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa AYDIN

Chairman of the Board of Trustees

From the Rector

Distinguished Academics, Researchers and Esteemed Readers,

We live in an age where knowledge knows no bounds and intercultural interaction becomes more and more important every day. In this context, it is extremely meaningful that Arabic, an ancient language of science and civilization, has become a rising value in academic and cultural fields again. As a university, we see contributing to this process as a responsibility and privilege.

This journal is an important scientific platform that brings together original studies that guide Arabic research in Turkey. With its interdisciplinary approach, qualified academic content and window to the universal world of science, it aims to contribute to the understanding of both the language and the cultural texture that feeds that language.

As the Rectorate, we find it extremely valuable that our university leads the scientific production with such publication activities and at the same time opens an incentive area for young researchers. We strongly believe that this journal, which presents the classical heritage and contemporary orientations of Arabic together, will take its rightful place in both the national and international academic community.

On this occasion, I would like to thank all the editorial team, our authors and everyone who contributed to the preparation of the journal; I wish you, our valuable readers, an efficient and inspiring reading process.

Best Regards.

Prof. Dr. İbrahim Hakkı AYDIN

Rector of IAU

From the Editor

Dear Readers,

We are very pleased to meet you in this issue of our journal, which started its publication life in order to give a new breath to Arabic research in Turkey and to carry the scientific production in this field to a wider ground.

The fields of activity of our journal cover a wide range from Arabic language and literature to education, from rhetoric to culture and art, from philosophy to literary history and Arabic translation. This diversity is a reflection of our belief that Arabic is not only a language, but also a bearer of thought, aesthetics, and civilization.

From the subtleties of Arabic language and literature to classical rhetorical texts, from contemporary Arabic philosophical texts to translation studies, each article has been meticulously presented to you with the contributions of academicians who are experts in their fields. Approaches taken from an educational perspective also provide a rich framework for teaching and pedagogical practices of Arabic.

The aim of our journal is not only to make an academic contribution, but also to serve to understand the historical continuity of Arab culture and art and to transfer this rich heritage to new generations. In this direction, we care about encouraging interdisciplinary collaborations and opening up space for different perspectives.

Together with all our friends on the editorial board, we are working diligently to turn this magazine into a long-term scientific platform. I would like to express my gratitude to our contributing authors, our advisory board and you, our valuable readers, and hope that your interest and support will continue to increase.
