Purpose and Scope
Aydın Journal of Arabic Studies (AYAD) is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Department of Arabic Language Education of Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Education since 2019. Aydın Journal of Arabic Studies (AYAD) aims to open up to the world under the guidance of science, to increase the knowledge in this field by focusing on academic studies especially on Arabic, to strengthen scientific communication and to publish the original scientific studies of researchers in this field in line with the principles of international publishing. Aydın Journal of Arabic Studies is the publication organ of Istanbul Aydın University. It is a periodical publication in which qualified studies, reviews, book promotions and evaluations prepared in the fields of Arabic language, literature, education, eloquence, culture, art, philosophy, literary history and Arabic translation are published. Aydın Journal of Arabic Studies (AYAD) is published twice a year (June-December) in print and electronically. The publication language of the journal is Turkish, Arabic, English and Persian, and the responsibility for the articles published and the sources used in the journal belongs to the authors.

Peer Review Process
The articles submitted to Aydın Journal of Arabic Studies (AYAD) are evaluated by two referees. If one of the referees gives a negative opinion and the other gives a positive opinion, the Editorial Board examines the referee reports and determines the process of the article by sending it to a third referee or returning it to the article author. At least two referees must give a positive opinion before the article can be published. Articles are controlled by Turnitin and/or iThenticate plagiarism software. After the reports of the referees are completed, the articles are ready for publication if approved by the Editorial Board and published in the appropriate number, taking into account the order of acceptance.
Publishing Period
Aydın Journal of Arabic Studies (AYAD) is published twice a year, in June and December. Articles are not accepted for a specific issue of the journal. Authors can submit their article at any time. Articles whose evaluation process is completed are published considering the arrival date.
Open Access Policy
Based on the idea that open access will increase the universal use of knowledge and have beneficial consequences for humanity, Aydın Journal of Arabic Studies (AYAD) has adopted the Open Access policy. The journal provides free use of all usage rights (linking, copying, printing, reproducing and distributing in any physical environment, etc.) other than the purpose of commercial use and content change, provided that it is cited as a source in known standards, in order to contribute to the promotion and development of universal Open Access to scientific content, from the copyrights related to the content it has taken over and published from the authors. Written permission must be obtained from the publisher for the commercial use of the content.
Publication Charge
No fee is charged for the journal. In addition, all accepted articles are published free of charge.
Principles of Research and Publication Ethics
In the scientific articles sent to AYAD, the guidelines related to Scientific Research and Publication Ethics of Higher Education Institutions, ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) recommendations and COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics)'s International Standards for Editors and Authors should be taken into account. Plagiarism, forgery or misrepresentation in data, repetition of publication, publishing by splitting and inclusion of people who do not contribute to the research among the authors are unacceptable practices within the scope of ethical rules. In case of any ethical irregularity related to this and similar practices, necessary legal actions will be taken.
a) Plagiarism: Making others' original ideas, methods, data or works look like their own work in whole or in part without referring to them in accordance with scientific rules is considered within the scope of plagiarism. In order to avoid plagiarism, authors should cite in accordance with scientific rules and pay attention to the source representation of all scientific writings in their research.
b) Data Counterfeiting: Using data that does not actually exist or has been changed in scientific research is considered within the scope of data counterfeiting. Authors should collect their data within ethical rules and analyze them without subjecting them to a change that will affect validity and reliability in the process.
c) Distortion: Changing the records or data obtained from the research, showing the devices or materials not used in the research as if they were used, changing or shaping the research results in line with the interests of the people and organizations supported are handled within the scope of distortion. Authors should be honest, objective and transparent in the information they provide about the research process. They should refrain from violating the code of ethics.
d) Publication Repetition: Presenting the same publication as separate publications without reference to previous publications is considered within the scope of publication repetition. The responsibility for the publication of the publications submitted for evaluation elsewhere or in the evaluation process belongs entirely to the authors. Authors should avoid repetition and take care to submit their original and original research.
e) Split Publishing: The results of a research are divided into parts in a way that disrupts the integrity of the research and improperly and published in more than one number, and these publications are presented as separate publications and are discussed within the scope of splitting publishing. Authors should consider the integrity of the research and avoid splits that will affect the results.
f) Unfair Writing: Including people who have not contributed to the research among the authors or not including people who have contributed are handled within the scope of unfair authorship. All authors should have contributed adequately to the stages of planning, design, data collection, analysis, evaluation, preparation for publication and finalization of the research.
Plagiarism Policy
All submitted articles have to undergo a control scan and are controlled via iThenticate and/or Turnitin (Advanced Plagiarism Dectection Software).
Copyright
Copyright aims at the detailed protection of scientifically prepared articles. In order to protect the rights of the author and to regulate the reprint or other use permissions of the published research, AYAD has a copyright form in which the authors must sign all their rights when their articles are ready for publication.
AYAD allows authors to use copyright without restriction and retains publishing rights without restriction. It is assumed that the submitted papers do not contain any special materials that are not protected by patent or patent application. Responsibility for the technical content and protection of proprietary material rests solely with the author and the institutions and is not the responsibility of AYAD or the Editorial Board. The principal author is responsible for ensuring that the manuscript is seen by all other authors. It is the responsibility of the author to obtain all necessary copyright permissions for the use of the copyrighted materials in the article before submission.
What are my rights as author?
It is important that you check the policy of the journal you are submitting or publishing to determine your rights as an authority. AYAD's standard policies allow the following reuse rights:
AYAD allows authors to use articles without copyright restrictions.
You may use the published article for your own teaching needs or to supply on an individual basis to research colleagues, provided that such supply is not for commercial purposes. You may use the article in a book authored or edited by you *_at any time after publication in the journal. This does not apply to books where you are contributing a chapter to a book authored or edited by someone else.
You may not publish the published article on a website without AYAD's permission.
